Google can’t get enough of Drum Cafe

After facilitating two high profile events for Google in California, Natalie Spiro of Drum Cafe West was invited to Nairobi, Kenya to launch the company’ sub-Saharan division. Although the super-organised Bronwyn Dillon of Drum Cafe Joburg assisted to arrange a shipment of 50 drums to Kenya, these all got stuck in red tape at customs! Drawing on all her creativity and social skills, Natalie Spiro magically managed to locally sourced replacement drums from a range of suppliers.

Needless to say, the event went off without a hitch. The audience was incredibly diverse, including participants from the massive emerging market in Africa such as Senegal, Cote D’Ivoire, Cameroon, Ghana, Angola, Nigeria, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Rwanda.

Natalie had a wonderful 4-day experience in the Masia-Mara before returning to California, and extends a “ HUGE thank you to Bronwyn – a truly amazing lady”.
